Dr. Biwesh Neupane is a Senior Lecturer in Finance and Chancellor's Fellow in Sustainable Finance at the University of Strathclyde's Strathclyde Business School, Department of Accounting and Finance. He previously served as an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Birmingham. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Strathclyde (2019), an MBA (2012), and advanced certifications in Higher Education (PGCert HE, 2020) and Research Methodology in Business Management (2016). He is a Fellow of Advance HE.
His research focuses on sustainable finance, climate finance, institutional investors, emerging markets, corporate governance, and bond markets. Recent work explores investor behavior during crises, ESG reputation risks, and fintech's impact on banking. He actively participates in international conferences and serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment.
Publications span leading journals like Journal of International Financial Markets Institutions and Money and European Financial Management. Key themes include pandemic market dynamics, board monitoring efficiency, green bond demand, and sovereign wealth fund strategies. His work addresses global financial challenges with a focus on emerging economies.
Professional activities include peer reviewing for academic publishers, conference participation, and editorial roles. He has presented at major events like the Financial Management Association Annual Meeting and the Academy of International Business Conference.
