Suman Neupane-Joshi is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the School of Business, Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, The University of Queensland. He serves as the postgraduate coordinator for the finance PhD program and teaches Advanced Studies in Finance (FINM4401) and Corporate Finance (FINM7402).
His research spans Environmental Finance, Investor Behaviour, IPOs, Emerging Markets Finance, and Corporate Governance. Key themes include climate finance impacts, institutional investor behavior in crises, and governance reforms in emerging economies. His work demonstrates how environmental factors influence corporate innovation and how market structures affect IPO outcomes.
His publications appear in top journals including Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, and British Journal of Management. Recent work examines pandemic-era investor reactions, global IPO underpricing dynamics, and toxic emissions' impact on green innovation.

His current projects include analyzing Gowrie Junction to Ebenezer rail impacts and PortConnex delivery models. He leads the finance PhD program and collaborates with researchers across Australia and emerging markets.
