Dr. Biwesh Neupane is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Finance at the Department of Finance, Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham, where he joined in September 2021. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Strathclyde and is a Fellow of Advance HE, having also completed a PGCert in Higher Education.
His research interests span a broad range of topics in finance, including international investments, emerging markets finance, corporate governance, sustainable and climate finance, trading behaviour, corporate bond markets, and initial public offerings. His scholarly work has been published in high-ranking journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance (ABS 4), British Journal of Management (ABS 4), and Journal of International Money and Finance (ABS 3).
Dr. Neupane's recent publications reflect a strong focus on investor behavior, corporate governance, and market dynamics, particularly in emerging markets. His research often explores how institutional and foreign investors influence market outcomes, IPO processes, and corporate decision-making. He also investigates the role of governance structures and sustainability in financial markets.
