Vasileios Kallinterakis is an Associate Professor in Finance at Durham University Business School and Director of Quantitative Research in Financial Economics. He holds a PhD in Finance from Durham University and an MSc from University of Toulouse 1. His research spans behavioral finance, emerging/frontier markets, institutional investors, volatility, high-frequency trading, and neurofinance.
He has published extensively in leading journals including the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Journal of Banking and Finance. His research has received grants from institutions like the National Stock Exchange of India and The University of Jordan. He serves on editorial boards of several finance journals including PLOS ONE and Review of Behavioral Finance.
Dr. Kallinterakis has successfully supervised eight doctoral students to completion and currently supervises two additional PhD candidates. Prior to joining Durham, he held positions at the University of Liverpool and taught at multiple UK universities including Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Reading, and University College London.
