Betty Diamond

Betty Diamond serves as Professor and Head of the Center for Autoimmune, Musculoskeletal and Hematopoietic Diseases at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, Northwell Health, where she leads pioneering research in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and related autoimmune disorders.

Her educational foundation includes an MD from Harvard Medical School followed by residency training.

Dr. Diamond's research program integrates Immunology and Rheumatology to dissect mechanisms of autoimmune pathogenesis, with emphasis on B-cell dysregulation, autoantibody production, and organ-specific manifestations like lupus nephritis.
