Barbara Larson is an Executive Professor of Management at Northeastern University's D’Amore-McKim School of Business, where she has served since 2012. She specializes in virtual work environments, remote/hybrid work strategies, and organizational behavior. Her research bridges academic and industry collaboration, focusing on training methods to enhance productivity in distributed teams. She holds a DBA from Harvard Business School, an MBA from Wharton (University of Pennsylvania), and a BA in Spanish from the University of Virginia.
Her work explores virtual intelligence, leadership in remote settings, and the future of work. Notable contributions include her 2023 book Remote and Hybrid Work: What Everyone Needs to Know and influential articles in Strategic Management Journal and Harvard Business Review. Awards include the Ronald Copeland Best Paper Award and recognition as a top reviewer in her field.
