Dr. Daniel J. McCarthy is a distinguished Professor at Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim School of Business, specializing in global management and innovation. His research focuses on international business, entrepreneurship in emerging markets (particularly Russia), and institutional voids. He holds the University Distinguished Professor title and Walsh Research Professorship, reflecting his academic impact.
Education: DBA in Finance/Business Policy (Harvard University), MBA in Finance (Dartmouth Tuck School), and BA in Economics (Dartmouth College).
Research interests include cross-cultural management, corporate governance in transitional economies, and the role of favors in global business. He has advised over 40 companies in the U.S. and Europe and serves as Lead Director of Clean Harbors, Inc. Since 1987.
