Esther Cohen serves as Director of Operations and Business Management in the Department of Bioengineering at Northeastern University, where she was promoted to Senior Business Manager in 2022. She concurrently held an adjunct lecturer role in the D’Amore-McKim School of Business, teaching BUSN 1103: Professional Development for Business Co-op. Cohen holds a BS in Psychology (2004) and MS in Leadership (2008) from Northeastern University.
Her professional journey includes roles in administrative support, admissions, human resources, and operational leadership within Northeastern’s College of Engineering. Cohen is a founder and co-chair of two employee affinity groups: Northeastern Parents and Northeastern Jewish Affinity Group, demonstrating leadership in fostering inclusive workplace environments.
Her research interests and professional focus revolve around institutional operations, leadership development, and supporting working parents in academia. Cohen has been recognized for her contributions with multiple awards, including the 2024 GEM Award and 2020 Outstanding Staff Teamwork Award.
