Arabia Richardson is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Theater at The University of the Arts (UArts), within the School of Theater, Film and Media Arts. She is a danceivist, artist, collaborator, administrator, and educator based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her career spans performance, choreography, and administrative roles in the arts.
Education:
- MFA in Dance (2022), The University of the Arts
- BFA in Dance, Cum Laude (2019), The University of the Arts
Research/creative interests focus on interdisciplinary performance, dance activism, and collaborative artistry. Notably, she has performed solos in works by choreographers such as Tommie-Waheed Evans and Marguerite Hemmings. Her administrative experience includes roles at Philadanco and UArts’ School of Dance.
Recent collaborations include work with Zane Booker and John Dowell, and she showcased her first exhibition/performance in Montpellier, France (2022). Her creative practice emphasizes community engagement and cross-disciplinary innovation.
