Lindsay Browning

Lindsay Browning serves as an Adjunct Instructor in the Dance Department of the Conservatory at Shenandoah University, employed since 2022. With over 15 years of professional dance experience and 6+ years as a professor, she instructs undergraduate courses in modern dance, jazz, improvisation, composition, and yoga.

• B.F.A., Radford University (2005)

Artistic Expertise: Her practice spans Modern Dance, Theater, Improvisation, Choreography, Yoga, and Mindfulness Practices. She integrates decades of professional performance experience—ranging from East Coast dance companies to international theater productions—into her pedagogy, emphasizing artistry and embodied creativity. Her teaching philosophy centers on daily dedication to artistic discovery: 'Working hard each day to discover your artistry is an incredibly fruitful path, one that is easily cherished.'

Professional Trajectory: From 2005-2012, she performed with Headlong Dance Theatre, Group Motion Multimedia Dance Theatre, and independent choreographers including Susan Rethorst and Jumatatu Poe. Highlights include featured roles with The Opera Company of Philadelphia (2009), choreographing 'Romeo & Juliet' at Teatro Municipal di Piacenza, Italy (2010), and global touring with magician Michael Grasso post-NBC's 'America’s Got Talent' (2011-2017).

Current Practice: She channels her professional journey into mentoring Shenandoah Conservatory students, maintaining active artistic engagement through platforms like lovelydevi.com and heretogetherart.com.
