Aoise Stratford is a Senior Lecturer and Advising Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University. She teaches writing within the Performing and Media Arts department, blending creative and academic practices.

Her research and creative work focus on Postcolonial drama, Gothic literature, contemporary feminist theatre, and dramaturgical practice. She is currently developing a book on Gothic Television and contributes to textbooks like The Art of Theatre Then and Now and Workshopping Your New Play.
Stratford has published essays in Modern Drama, Theatre Survey, and The Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism, often examining Gothic themes and feminist perspectives in performance.
