Jacob Gallagher-Ross is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of English & Drama at the University of Toronto Mississauga, with a graduate faculty appointment at the Centre for Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies. His research bridges modern/contemporary theatre, digital performance, media theory, and dramaturgy. He has contributed extensively to journals like Theatre Survey, TDR, and Contemporary Theatre Review, earning accolades such as the Vera Mowry Roberts Award and the American Society for Theater Research’s Collaborative Research Award. He co-edited three special issues of Theater journal focused on digital performance and surveillance, and served as a dramaturg at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.
