معرفی
Antje Stöckmann is Professor of Nature and Resource Conservation at Eberswalde University of Sustainable Development since 1995, with a career spanning over 30 years in conservation science, river ecology, and sustainable agriculture. Her work integrates academic research with practical policy implementation across German landscapes.
Education:
- Diplom-Biologin (Master of Biology), Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen (1986)
- Doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) in Biology, Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen (1991)
Her research focuses on river ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation in agricultural landscapes, and sustainable land-use practices. She pioneered wilderness concepts in grazing ecology and carrion studies, emphasizing process protection in open landscapes. Her approach bridges theoretical conservation frameworks with on-ground management solutions for rivers and farmlands.
Recent publications (2021-2022) reveal a strategic shift toward digital innovation in environmental education, featuring VR biodiversity tours and interactive otter habitat storyboards. Concurrently, she explores agroforestry as a conflict-resolution tool between agriculture and conservation, particularly through hedgerow management revival.
Professional Leadership:
