Elke Hietel

Prof. Dr. Elke Hietel is a Professor of Landscape Management and Urban Planning at Technische Hochschule Bingen. She leads the Bachelor's Environmental Protection program and chairs the Rhineland-Palatinate regional group of the Federal Association of Professional Nature Conservation (BBN). Her research focuses on enhancing biodiversity in agricultural and urban environments, including solar park design, green roofs, and phenological gardens as climate bioindicators. She holds leadership roles in regional conservation foundations and manages the Transfer Office Bingen (TSB) focusing on sustainable energy solutions.
