Anthony Lamanna is an Associate Professor and the Penta Building Group Professor at the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment, Arizona State University (ASU). He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Structures) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.S. in Engineering Mechanics from the same university, an M.S.C.E. in Civil Engineering (Construction Materials) from Purdue University, and a B.C.E. in Civil Engineering (Construction) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
- Affiliations: American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), ASTM International.
- Committees: ACI Contractor Liason Committee (CLC), Committee 355 (Anchorage to Concrete), Subcommittee B of Committee 318 (Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete), and others.
His research focuses on anchorage systems, sustainable construction, innovative materials, blast mitigation, and the rehabilitation of existing structures. He has coordinated the ACI Concrete Construction Student Competition and served as editor for the 4th edition of the Contractor’s Guide to Quality Concrete Construction.

Teaching & Leadership: Taught at Tulane University, Eastern Kentucky University, and as an adjunct at the University of New Orleans. Led accreditation efforts for construction management programs. Current courses include project delivery methods, failure analysis, and graduate research supervision.
Professional Engagement: Active in Rotary International (president of three clubs). Certified Beer Judge and volunteer in community service and international vocational exchanges.
