Krishna P. Ghimire is the Undergraduate Program Director and Teaching Associate Professor in Civil Engineering at Kansas State University, holding the Jeffrey and Joy Lessman Cornerstone Teaching Scholar position. He earned his Ph.D. (2018) and M.S. (2015) in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas, following a B.S. (2009) from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
His research focuses on structural modeling and bond development in reinforced concrete, particularly the anchorage of headed reinforcing bars. His work has directly influenced updates to ACI Building Code and ASTM standards for headed-bar applications in concrete structures.
