Annina Schmid

Annina Schmid is a Professor of Pain Neurosciences at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Oxford, and Head of the Neuromusculoskeletal Health and Science Lab. She holds prestigious fellowships including Wellcome Clinical Career Development Fellow and BRC Senior Research Fellow, and serves as Governing Body Fellow at Wolfson College.

Her research focuses on peripheral entrapment neuropathies like carpal tunnel syndrome and sciatica, using these conditions as model systems to study neuropathic pain mechanisms.
