معرفی
Dr. Alexander J. Davies is a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN), University of Oxford, specializing in neuroimmunology and neuropathic pain mechanisms. His research bridges immunology and neuroscience to develop novel immune therapies for nerve injury-related pain.
- Education: B.Sc. (Hons), Ph.D. (University of Manchester under Professor R. Alan North)
Research Focus:
• Neuroimmune interactions in peripheral nerve injury
• NK cell-mediated axon degeneration
• Immune mechanisms in neuropathic pain
• Translational in vitro human neuro-immune models
Publication Trends: Recent work (2023-2025) explores NK cell dynamics in pain alleviation, autoimmune neurology, and neuroimmune biomarkers, building on earlier discoveries about spinal pain circuitry.
Scientific Awards:
- UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship
- Medical Research Foundation Funding
Collaborators & Outreach:
• Collaborates with Simon Rinaldi, Annina Schmid, David Bennett
• Organized Oxford Neuro-Immune Interactions 2024
• Engages in public science outreach (e.g., Science Wonder Garden Party)
