Annegret Engel is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Law at Lund University. Her expertise lies in EU constitutional law, digitalisation in EU law, and regulatory frameworks for digital markets. She has published extensively on legal basis litigation, overlapping competences, and the digital single market.
Her research portfolio includes studies on the DMA/DSA regulations, competition law, and Brexit implications. She has been awarded the Distinction for Ph.D. thesis (summa cum laude) and multiple Ustinov College Scholarships. Engel is actively involved in academic activities, including organizing conferences like the European Law Moot Court Competition and serving as an editor for the Nordic Journal of European Law.
