Anne Revillard is a Full Professor of Sociology at Sciences Po, where she is affiliated with the Centre for Research on Social Inequalities (CRIS) and serves as Director of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for the Evaluation of Public Policies (LIEPP). Her academic work bridges sociology, public policy, and law, with a strong focus on gender and disability as axes of inequality. She is based in Paris and holds a permanent faculty position with national recognition (HDR).
Her research interests include policy evaluation, gender studies, disability policies, qualitative methods, social policies, and the sociology of law. She is particularly known for developing and promoting the concept of policy reception, which centers the lived experiences of individuals affected by public policies. Her work critically examines how gender and disability shape access to rights and employment, and how policies are interpreted and experienced at the individual level.
The trends in her recent publications reflect a strong interdisciplinary and policy-relevant focus. Her work spans qualitative evaluations of social programs, theoretical contributions to policy analysis, and empirical studies on gender quotas and disability rights. She frequently publishes in high-impact journals across sociology, law, and public policy, and her research has a significant impact on both academic discourse and public debate in France and internationally.
