Anna Harris is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of East Anglia (UEA), with expertise in midwifery and childbearing emergencies. She has held roles as a Midwifery Lecturer and Course Director at UEA since 2004, and previously worked as a Senior Midwife and Midwife in various NHS Trusts.

Her research focuses on midwifery-related issues, particularly neonatal care and breastfeeding challenges. She has contributed to the field through publications such as Nipple confusion in neonates (2009) and projects like Enhancing midwifery and neonatal care through capacity building (2014-2015). Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.
Harris has been involved in interprofessional education and serves as an Appraiser for the Midwifery Team and a representative for the Baby Friendly Initiative in Higher Education Institutions. She has also contributed to global health initiatives, including a VSO Nurse-Midwife Tutor role in Nepal.
