Dr. Angela Anthonisz is the Principal Lecturer in Tourism and Visitor Economy Management at the University of Cumbria. With an established career in academia and industry, she has held leadership roles in the UK, Switzerland, and Dubai, including hotel management and business ownership. Her research focuses on strategic management, sustainable planning, organizational social capital, and cultural change in tourism and hospitality sectors. She collaborates with organizations like the Cumbria Tourist Board and the Lake District Hotels Association to develop educational programs such as the UK's only MBA in Tourism Management. She leads the Rural and Visitor Economy theme at the Centre for National Parks and Protected Areas, advocating for sustainable solutions in rural environments.
