Alina Samolesky is a faculty member at the University of West Georgia, where she teaches flute as part of the Department of Music under the School of Visual and Performing Arts. She also serves as an Artist in Residence and faculty member at the Orfeo Music Festival in Vipiteno, Italy, and has held Visiting Assistant Professor roles at Columbus State University and Auburn University.

As a renowned Cuban-American flutist, her research and performance interests include music pedagogy, chamber music, and contemporary flute repertoire. Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaborations and global music festivals.
Dr. Samolesky’s performance history spans major U.S. orchestras and international venues, including the National Flute Association conventions, Flute New Music Consortium Festivals, and the Opera Theatre and Music Festival Orchestra of Lucca in Italy. She is principal flute of the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra and a member of Duo Flautas Frescas.
Scientific awards include recognition in:

- National Flute Association (NFA) Convention Performers Competition
She actively adjudicates for prestigious organizations such as the National Flute Association, Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), and international festivals. Dr. Samolesky also maintains a private flute and piano studio.
