Ali Gohary is a Lecturer in Marketing at La Trobe Business School, La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. He holds a PhD in Marketing from Monash Business School (2022), an M.A. from Qazvin Islamic Azad University (2013), and a B.A. from Urmia University (2011). His research focuses on consumer psychology, ethical consumption, cross-cultural marketing, and political ideology’s impact on consumer behavior.
Dr. Gohary’s work spans health and well-being, sustainable consumption, and food consumption, with publications in top-tier journals like Journal of Business Research and European Journal of Marketing. He has secured grants including a Canadian SSHRC Insight Grant (AUD $95,000) and collaborates internationally. He serves on La Trobe’s Behavioral Lab Steering Committee and Low Risk Human Ethics Committee, and coordinates departmental seminars.
Teaching interests include consumer behavior, customer experience management, and marketing analytics. He supervises Master’s and PhD students focusing on behavioral experimental methodologies. Fluent in English, Persian, and Azerbaijani, he is actively involved in peer review for journals like Journal of Business Ethics and conferences like ANZMAC.
