Alberto ZAVA is an Associate Professor of Contemporary Italian Literature at Ca' Foscari University of Venice's Department of Humanities. His research focuses on Modern and Contemporary Italian Literature, Literary Criticism, and the intersection of Journalism and Literature. He holds a PhD from Ca' Foscari (2004) and has taught since 2008, including a part-time role as Adjunct Professor (2008–2011) before becoming a Research Fellow (2011–2019) and later Associate Professor (2019–present).
