معرفی
Giorgio Zanetti is a Full Professor in the Department of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, specializing in Contemporary Italian Literature (LICO-01/A). He teaches courses on Contemporary Italian Literature, New Media and Youth Literature, and the Theory and History of Narrative Genres for Master's degree programs in Media Education for Literary Disciplines and Publishing and Pedagogical Sciences.
Professor Zanetti's research focuses on Italian literary studies, with particular emphasis on 20th century Italian literature, D'Annunzio studies, Shakespearean influences in Italian literature, literary theory, narratology, and the relationship between literature and mass society. His work demonstrates a deep engagement with intertextuality, literary anthropology, and the cultural implications of literary works.
His recent publications reveal a consistent scholarly trajectory exploring the intersections of Italian literature with European literary traditions, particularly examining the works of Gabriele d'Annunzio in relation to Shakespeare, Rilke, and other European literary figures. His research often investigates the mythic-ritual dimensions of literature, the evolution of narrative genres, and the relationship between literary works and the emergence of mass society in the 20th century. Zanetti's approach combines textual scholarship with cultural anthropology, creating rich analyses that bridge close reading with broader cultural contexts.
Professor Zanetti has made significant contributions to the critical edition of d'Annunzio's works, serving as co-editor for the "Prose di ricerca" volumes in the prestigious Meridiani Mondadori series. His editorial work extends to "Quaderni del Vittoriale," a publication series focused on d'Annunzio studies.
His teaching methodology emphasizes direct engagement with literary texts through reading and commentary, incorporating both traditional classroom instruction and digital learning platforms. He advocates for a pedagogical approach that values student feedback and interaction, creating a dynamic learning environment that bridges historical literary contexts with contemporary critical perspectives.
