Michela RUSI

Michela RUSI is an Associate Professor of Italian Literature at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, affiliated with the Department of Humanities. She holds additional roles at the Interuniversity Center for Venetian Studies and the Research Institute for Digital and Cultural Heritage. Her academic career includes teaching Italian Literature across multiple departments and degrees, including Asian and North African Studies programs.

Her research focuses on textual analysis of Italian literature from the 16th to 20th centuries, with specializations in modern and contemporary philology, history of literary criticism, and the study of autobiography and parody. Notable areas include Alfieri, d'Annunzio, Machiavelli, and Istrian literature. She has edited critical editions of texts and serves as editor-in-chief of Archivio d'Annunzio.

Her recent publications (2023–2024) explore topics like parody in Alfieri's works, d'Annunzio's aesthetics, and Pavese's narrative techniques. She actively participates in editorial boards of literary journals and international conferences.

RUSI has held continuous academic appointments since 1985, including a PhD from Padua and Venice Universities (1997) and national research qualifications (2012–2013). She advises students and contributes to academic governance through committee roles, including the Scientific Committee of the Archive of Migrant Women Writers' Writings.
