Kyung Hee JUNG

Kyung Hee JUNG is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Asian and North African Studies of Ca' Foscari University of Venice. She specializes in Korean language education, Italian literature, and translation studies, with a focus on cultural exchange between Korea and Italy.

Education:

Research Interests: Her work bridges Italian literary analysis, translation of Italian works into Korean, and cultural studies. She has translated seminal texts like Youth by Paolo Sorrentino and La Coscienza di Zeno by Italo Svevo. Her scholarship explores themes such as 16th-century love treatises, Leopardi’s poetics, and hermeneutical approaches to poetry.

Teaching: Leads Korean language courses at undergraduate and master’s levels, focusing on practical exercises and cultural immersion.

Collaborations: Partnered with publishers like BuonBooks and Marco Polo, contributing to cultural projects such as subtitles for the Italian Film Festival in South Korea (2016). Her work promotes cross-cultural dialogue through literature and media.
