Dr. Ahmed Al-Abdin is a Deputy Associate Dean (International) and Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the University of Liverpool Management School. He holds a PhD in Marketing from the University of Hull, focusing on consumption practices and the Arab revolutions. His academic credentials include an MSc in Marketing Management, a BA in Business, a Postgraduate Diploma in Research Training, and a PGCERT in Teaching and Learning (2017).
His research interests span Branding, Consumer Research in vulnerable/war-torn societies, Pedagogic Research, and Health Services. He has published in top-tier journals such as the Journal of Business Research and Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, with a focus on transformative service research (TSR) and humanitarian efforts in conflict zones like Palestine.
Award-winning educator, Ahmed has received the prestigious AMA-EBSCO-RRBM Award (2025) and multiple Teaching Excellence Awards. His professional activities include roles as External Examiner for Qatar's BBA Marketing programs and collaborations with organizations like The Hut Group, Wirral Unplugged, and hospices such as East Cheshire Hospice. He leads international partnerships with universities in China, Hong Kong, Australia, and Canada as Deputy Associate Dean.
