Clayton Maddox is an Assistant Professor of Tuba and Euphonium and Assistant Director of Bands at the University of South Alabama's Department of Music. He is a distinguished soloist, chamber musician, and educator with international performance experience and leadership roles in professional ensembles.

Prior to his current role, he taught at Arkansas Tech University and Henderson State University. His mentors include renowned tubists Demondrae Thurman, Paul Weikle, James Jenkins, and Joseph Skillen.
