Hayley Jenkins is a Lecturer of Music and PGCE PCET at the University of Sunderland, affiliated with the School of Education. She teaches on Performing Arts, Music, and PGCE PCET courses, focusing on creative reflective practice and pedagogical theories. Her research interests include music education, eLearning platforms (ePortfolio development), and employability strategies for students. As a composer, her works have been performed by groups like the Delta Saxophone Quartet and Albany Piano Trio. She collaborates with the MiM Project at York St John University to enhance student employability through eLearning. Jenkins contributes to teacher training programs, particularly for Post-Compulsory Education Sector roles. She previously worked as a research assistant for SUNCETT (Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training) and continues to explore digital literacy and reflective practices in education. Her professional activities include composition commissions and advocacy for community music initiatives.
