Amin Hosseinian Far is a Professor of Systems Thinking at the Hertfordshire Business School, University of Hertfordshire. Previously, he served as Professor of Systems Thinking and Deputy Head of the Department of Business Systems and Operations at the University of Northampton. He is an active researcher with affiliations to the Sustainability Research Institute (SRI) at the University of East London (since 2012) and the Public Transportation Systems (PTS) Research Group at RMIT University (since 2020). Education: He holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Information Systems from the University of East London, an MSc in Satellite Communications and Space Systems from the University of Sussex, and a PhD in Sustainability from the University of East London. Research interests span systems thinking, information systems, analytics, and modeling, with a focus on sustainability applications across healthcare, environmental policy, and supply chain management. His work integrates interdisciplinary approaches to address complex challenges like plastic pollution, mental health, and climate change. Publications highlight trends in systematic reviews and meta-analyses, particularly in healthcare and environmental studies. Notable contributions include studies on imposter syndrome among healthcare workers, noise-induced hearing loss in industrial sectors, and sustainable urban transportation frameworks. He received the 2020 Research Diamond Award for Excellence in Doctoral Supervision at the University of Northampton, having guided 15 doctoral students to completion. His grants exceed £1.5 million, focusing on sustainability research and policy interventions. Labs and teams include leadership roles in the Systems, Analytics, and Business Intelligence (SABI) research group, founding editorship of the International Journal of Strategic Engineering (IJoSE), and editorial contributions to journals such as IJERPH and Smart and Sustainable Built Environment.
