Dr Nataly Stylianou is a Research Fellow at the School of Biomedical Sciences, Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Her research focuses on oncology, genetics, and biological sciences, with a particular emphasis on prostate cancer and placental pathobiology in SARS-CoV-2 pregnancies. Her work investigates epithelial-mesenchymal plasticity, gene expression profiling, and therapeutic resistance mechanisms. Key research interests include: Prostate cancer progression and metastasis Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and plasticity Genetic and molecular pathways in cancer Placental dysfunction in viral infections Her publications highlight contributions to understanding BCL2 expression in advanced prostate cancer, placental pathobiology during SARS-CoV-2 infections, and the role of insulin in cancer cell migration. Recent work emphasizes therapeutic targets such as Neuropilin-1 and miRNA regulation in tumor progression. Dr Stylianou collaborates on projects involving transcriptome analysis, molecular signaling pathways, and clinical outcomes. She holds a PhD from QUT and contributes to interdisciplinary teams studying cancer biology and reproductive health.
