Andre Barrinha is a Reader (Associate Professor) in International Relations at the University of Bath , affiliated with the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Cyber Security , Institute for Digital Security and Behaviour (IDSB) , and the Centre for the Study of Violence . His research focuses on technology and international order, European security, European foreign policy, and International Relations Theory. He has held leadership roles including Chair of the ISA section on Science, Technology and Art in International Relations (2023-2025) and co-founder of the British International Studies Association European Security Working Group (2016-18). Education Background: Previous academic positions include roles at Canterbury Christ Church University, University of Coimbra, and University of Kent. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to peace, justice, and strong institutions. Key Research Themes: Cyber diplomacy, digital governance, strategic narratives in global security, and EU cyber policy.
