Mun’im Sirry is an Associate Professor at the University of Notre Dame, specializing in World Religions and World Church studies. His research focuses on Qur’anic exegesis, Islamic history, Christian-Muslim relations, and the study of religions and cultures in Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia. He holds a PhD from the University of Chicago, with a dissertation on Reformist Muslim Approaches to Qur’anic Polemics against Other Religions, following an MA from UCLA and graduate studies in Islamic law at the International Islamic University in Islamabad. His recent work includes examining religious intolerance among Indonesian youth, tolerance education in schools, and the socio-cognitive dimensions of radicalization. Key publications include Youth, Education, and Islamic Radicalism (2024) and The Qur’an with Cross-References (2022). He is currently exploring key concepts in Qur’anic studies, emphasizing historical reconstruction and contemporary theological debates. Notable research themes include analyzing early Muslim exegesis, the dynamics of religious literacy in education systems, and interfaith coexistence strategies. His interdisciplinary approach bridges historical analysis, sociological insights, and textual interpretation to address modern challenges in religious pluralism.
