Analysis of her publications reveals a consistent focus on ethnic Chinese communities across Indonesia and Thailand, with particular attention to historical narratives, identity politics, and post-conflict societies. Her research employs ethnographic methods, visual documentation, and analysis of alternative memory forms.
Dr. Auikool has presented her research at multiple academic venues including the EuroSEAS Masterclass and as an invited speaker at the University of Melbourne. She has also engaged in collaborative research on ethno-religious relations in Thailand's southern border provinces.
