Dr. Jonathan Bones is an Associate Professor in the School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering at University College Dublin (UCD) and Principal Investigator of the Characterisation and Comparability Group at NIBRT. His research focuses on analytical methods for biopharmaceuticals, including liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) for protein characterization, glycomics, and process optimization. He holds a BSc and PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Dublin City University. His work has been recognized through inclusion in the Medicine Maker Power List. He leads a team of 18 researchers, supported by SFI, EI, and industry partnerships.
