Prof. Begüm Öz holds a Professorship at the Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts Education at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University since 2022. She previously served as Associate Professor (2017–2022) and Assistant Professor (2013–2017). Her academic journey includes roles as Research Assistant at both Gazi University and her current institution. She has extensive managerial experience, currently serving as Head of Department and Managerial roles in research centers. Education: PhD: Gazi University (2010), Thesis: 'Flute Education Model for Turkish Folk Music' MSc: Gazi University (2004), Thesis: 'Statistical Analysis of Turkish Art Music' BSc: Gazi University (1997), Music Education Research Interests: Focus on music pedagogy, special needs education in music, flute teaching methods, and cultural aspects of music education. Her work bridges traditional Turkish music with modern pedagogical approaches, emphasizing inclusive education and technological integration. Advising & Grants: Supervised 10+ theses including studies on music education for children with autism, choral conducting, and online Orff-Schulwerk methods. Conducted research projects like 'Analogical Approaches in Flute Education' (2022). Labs/Teams: Active in research teams focusing on music education innovation and serves as Editor-in-Chief for multiple music education journals.
