Prof. Dr. Johannes Voit is Professor of Music Education and Music Communication at the University of Bielefeld's Faculty of Linguistics and Literature, where he also directs the Music Education Research Facility. His academic appointment was expanded in 2022 from 'Music Education' to include 'Music Communication,' reflecting the growing scope of his work. He maintains additional affiliation with Hochschule für Musik Detmold through co-optation and has held teaching appointments at University of Cologne, Dresden University of Music, and the KOMPÄD continuing education program. His publications include the award-winning 'Listening Lab' (2015) and he co-edits the 'Forum Musikvermittlung – Perspektiven aus Forschung und Praxis' series with Constanze Wimmer. His research output spans empirical studies, theoretical examinations, and practical educational resources that bridge academic research with classroom application.
