Eva Herzig

Eva Herzig serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Music at the University of Kassel since October 2019, teaching vocal instruction across all degree programs and directing performance initiatives including the weekly Workshop Performance and semester-end Musizierstunde concert series.

Her academic background includes:

• Vocal pedagogy studies at Hochschule der Künste Bern
• Distinguished opera solo studies in Leipzig
• Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Singstimme (voice physiology and dysfunction management)
• BDG certification in Pedagogy of Popular Singing (2018/19)

Her research integrates classical and contemporary vocal techniques, emphasizing voice physiology, genre-adaptive pedagogy, and choral literature. She applies CVT (Complete Vocal Technique) and speech therapy principles to address vocal health across musical styles, drawing from 15+ years of professional performance experience including Zurich Opera House engagements and Gächinger Kantorei membership.

As an active mentor, she provides individual vocal coaching and performance preparation through structured workshops.
