Trudy Sevens is the Associate Head of School of Health and Social Care (Research, Innovation, and Knowledge Exchange) at Sheffield Hallam University. She holds dual roles as a HCPC-registered Diagnostic Radiographer and academic researcher with extensive experience in operational management, leadership, and multiprofessional team coordination in both academia and clinical settings. She completed her Doctorate in Professional Issues in 2017 and focuses on workforce transformation and healthcare education models. Her leadership roles include membership in the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR) and editorial roles in medical journals. Nationally, she contributes to policy frameworks through the SCoR’s Workforce Expert Group and Medico-Legal Guidance Committee. Regionally, she chairs the North East and Yorkshire Reporting Radiographer group and collaborates with NHS England on diagnostic service integration. Her recent work emphasizes imaging support workforce planning and multidisciplinary leadership placements in integrated care systems. She has secured funding for ultrasound training academies and practice educators, and her research has been recognized through invitations to speak at national conferences (e.g., UKIO, BMUS). She is a PhD supervisor and part of NIHR research teams, focusing on grant applications and healthcare innovation.
