Andrew Campbell is a Visiting Professor at the Fenner School of Environment & Society, Australian National University (ANU), and Managing Director of Triple Helix Consulting. He previously served as Chief Executive of the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) (2016–2023) and CEO of Land & Water Australia (2000–2007). His roles include Patron of Landcare Victoria and non-executive Director at AgriFutures Australia. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Education: Dip.For (Creswick), B.For.Sc (Hons) (Melbourne), MSc (Wageningen University, Netherlands). Research focuses on climate-water-energy-food nexus, environmental policy, sustainable agriculture, and governance of international research collaborations. Key interests include participatory land management models, agroforestry systems, and science-policy interfaces. Publications span urban sustainability, climate-resilient food systems, and land restoration. Recent work highlights include guiding CGIAR’s global research strategy and authoring ACIAR’s Building Global Sustainability monograph. Leadership roles: Represented Australia on CGIAR System Council (2016–2023), chaired Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases, and advised the Peter Cullen Water and Environment Trust. His work integrates policy, practice, and community engagement across multiple continents.
