Dr. Federica D'Andrea is a Lecturer in Dementia Studies at the Geller Institute of Ageing and Memory, School of Medicine and Biosciences, University of West London. She is actively engaged in research and teaching, focusing on innovative approaches to dementia care and quality of life improvement for individuals living with dementia. Her research interests include: Olfactory and multi-sensory stimulation in dementia care Object handling and heritage-based interventions Post-diagnostic care models in primary care Mixed-methods evaluation of dementia care interventions Evidence-based practice in health and social care for dementia Dr. D'Andrea's recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on evaluating and developing novel, person-centered interventions for dementia care, particularly in care home and primary care settings. Her work combines rapid and scoping reviews with intervention design and feasibility studies, indicating a translational research approach aimed at bridging evidence and practice.
