Danielle Mcfeeters is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology (Development) at the University of Wolverhampton’s Faculty of Education, Health, and Wellbeing. She co-founded the Mental Health, Suicide Research and Prevention special interest group (MHSRP) and has led interdisciplinary mental health research since 2015.

Her research focuses on mental health epidemiology, suicidal behavior aetiology, trauma impacts, and forensic psychology. She has examined occupational stress in police and healthcare workers, childhood trauma correlations with suicidality, and gender-specific mental health risks. Article trends reflect cross-sector collaborations (public health, emergency services, education) and mixed-methods approaches (systematic reviews, longitudinal studies, community evaluations).

- Co-author of 30+ publications, including high-impact journals like BJPsych and Journal of Interpersonal Violence
Teaching roles span clinical psychology, research methods, and forensic science. She supervises professional doctorates and PhDs on topics like FGM survivor therapy, self-harm mechanisms, and work instability measures.
