Cherie Armour is a Professor of Psychological Trauma and Mental Health at Queen's University Belfast's School of Psychology. She holds leadership roles, including Director of the Research Centre for Stress Trauma and Related Conditions (STARC), and is actively involved in global trauma-related research and policy. Her work focuses on understanding mental health outcomes in trauma-exposed populations, including military veterans, emergency workers, and victims of domestic violence. She has led over 8 funded projects, including studies on PTSD mechanisms, veteran mental health, and pandemic mental health impacts.

Labs/Teams: Directs STARC and collaborates internationally on trauma studies, including projects in Colombia, South Africa, and Cambodia.
