Dr. Deirdre MacManus is a Clinical Professor at King's College London's Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN), with dual roles as an academic and Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist. She leads the London NHS Veteran Mental Health and Wellbeing Services and co-leads the Forensic Research Group. Her work bridges clinical practice and research, focusing on trauma, forensic populations, and military mental health. She holds honorary positions at UCL and collaborates internationally on veteran and prison mental health initiatives.

Advising & Grants: Supervises PhD/MSc students, leads clinical and policy projects funded by the Medical Research Council (MRC) and National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). Active in UK policy reforms, including the Domestic Abuse Strategy 2021 and veteran mental health services.
