Dr. Tin D. Vo (he/they) is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto’s Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work since July 2024. Their interdisciplinary, community-engaged research examines social climate and exclusion as health determinants, focusing on belonging, resilience, and wellbeing for marginalized communities.

Dr. Vo’s work spans higher education, leisure spaces, and community contexts using intersectional frameworks to address stigma, harm reduction, and culturally responsive care for 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC/racialized communities. Recent projects include virtual reality tools to combat healthcare racism and policy analyses for SOGIE-diverse populations in Ontario. Their research team received the 2023 Canadian Journal of Program Evaluation Best Article Award.
Dr. Vo has secured grants for initiatives like Amplifying 2S/LGBTQIA+ voices intergenerationally (2025-2026) and Exploring Foundational Public Health Programs for SOGIE Diverse People (2025-2026). They are also a Credentialed Evaluator with over a decade of public sector and nonprofit experience, and a member of the 2SLGBTQ+ Health Hub and the International Partnership for Queer Youth Resilience.
