Nadra Jesmine Nilsen is a Senior Research Scientist at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), affiliated with the Centre of Molecular Inflammation Research (CEMIR), the Center for Myeloma Research, and the Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Research Center. Her research focuses on innate immunity mechanisms, particularly pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) and their roles in cancer progression, including Multiple Myeloma and colorectal cancer. She holds expertise in immunology, molecular medicine, and cell biology. Her competencies span biochemistry, cancer immunology, and confocal microscopy. She has contributed to over 15 peer-reviewed publications since 2003, exploring topics like TLR signaling pathways, cytokine regulation, and cancer metastasis. Notable work includes studies on TLR3's role in promoting invasiveness of metastatic intestinal epithelial cells (2017) and TRAM/TRIF adaptor proteins in TLR2 signaling (2015). Nilsen has presented at international conferences, including the Toll2018 Symposium in Porto and the International Congress of Immunology in Kobe. Her research bridges basic science and translational applications, targeting innate immunity mechanisms in oncology and inflammatory diseases.
