Dr. Erin Hunter is a Lecturer at the Sydney School of Public Health , University of Sydney, with an adjunct appointment at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her work focuses on formative research for social and behavioural interventions, particularly in menstrual health, using qualitative methods to strengthen survey design and program evaluation. PhD (Johns Hopkins), MSPH (Johns Hopkins), BS (Clemson University) Current projects include a 20-country WHO study on sexual health survey instruments and the Adolescent Menstrual Experiences and Health Cohort (AMEHC) in Bangladesh. She coordinates the Master of Global Health program and chairs the Sydney School of Public Health's early/mid-career researcher network. Global collaborations in Bangladesh, Brazil, Botswana, Burma, Canada, Colombia, Ghana, Guinea, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Malaysia, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Uganda, UK, USA, Uruguay Scientific recognition includes multiple teaching awards (e.g., 2021 Outstanding Lecturer) and research fellowships (Fulbright-Hays, Harvey Fellowship). Her publications span menstrual hygiene, birth practices, and health systems strengthening in low-resource settings.
