Corinne Dalelio is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication, Media, & Culture at Coastal Carolina University. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication/Media Studies from Rutgers University (2010), an M.A. in Communication & Information Studies (2005), and a B.A. in English (2001), all from Rutgers University. Dr. Dalelio's research focuses on digital media, online communication, and media literacy, with particular emphasis on mapping online discussions and interactive media design. She coordinates the university’s Social Media minor program and has professional experience in digital web design and marketing. Her research spans topics like Reddit-based discussions on gun policy, citizen journalism, and critical digital literacy in education. She has received grants for integrating online learning tools in communication courses. Key contributions include Interactive Media & Society (2022) and frameworks for analyzing online discourse in higher education. Awards include a 2017 grant supporting her course development in communication research. Dr. Dalelio teaches courses on interactive media, communication research, and media literacy. Her work bridges theoretical research and practical applications, emphasizing collaborative projects like the Collaborative Identity Project . She actively explores how digital tools shape societal interactions, particularly in education and public discourse.
